ارزیابی کاربرد شاخص‌های خشکسالی SSPI و SSPEI در مناطق خشک و نیمه خشک، مورد مطالعه: عراق

چکیده
هدف: تغییرات اقلیمی، فعالیت‌های انسانی تأثیرگذار بر کاهش منابع آب و نیز نبود ایستگاه‌های هواشناسی با پراکنش مناسب در عراق مطالعه خشکسالی در این کشور را پیچیده می‌کند. از سوی دیگر قرار گرفتن این کشور در کمربند بیابانی جهان که سبب افزایش بسیار زیاد دمای هوا و بی‌نظمی شدید در بارش می‌شود، مطالعه خشکسالی در این کشور را از دیدگاه روش‌شناسی نیز با چالش‌های جدی روبه‌رو می‌کند. از این‌رو، پژوهش حاضر با هدف تأمین ابزاری دقیق‌تر برای مدیریت بحران‌های آب و اقلیم در عراق کوشش می‌کند تا کارایی و دقت شاخص‌های SSPI و SSPEI را در مقایسه با شاخص‌های SPI و SPEI در اقلیم‌های خشک و نیمه‌خشک کشور عراق مورد ارزیابی قرار دهد.
روش پژوهش: داده‌های مورد استفاده شامل: بارش، بیشینه و کمینه دما، تبخیر و تعرق طی دوره طولانی‌ مدت 71 ساله (1950-2020) با استفاده از داده‌های شبکه‌ای تولید شده توسط مراکز اقلیمی GPCC و CRU با دقت 25/0 درجه جغرافیایی است. به‌منظور مطالعه خشکسالی، از شاخص‌های SPI، SSPI، SPEI و SSPEI در مقیاس‌های زمانی 3، 6، 9، 12 و 24 ماهه استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: مقایسه SSPI و SPI بر اساس داده‌های شبکه‌ای نشان داد که الگوی تغییرات هر دو شاخص در بخش عمده‌ای از کشور عراق مشابه است و این شباهت با افزایش مقیاس زمانی بیشتر می‌شود. در مقیاس 3 ماهه، تفاوت میان دو شاخص در برخی نواحی غرب، شرق و مرکز عراق بیشتر بود، در حالی‌ که در مقیاس‌های زمانی بلندتر، میزان انطباق آنها افزایش یافت. مقادیر ضریب همبستگی میان آنها بین 0/88 تا 0/99 و ضریب تعیین بین 0/79 تا 1 قرار داشت. مقادیر ریشه میانگین مربعات خطا، اریبی و شیب خط نیز نشان دادند که اختلاف میان دو شاخص در بیشتر مناطق محدود است و با افزایش مقیاس زمانی کاهش می‌یابد. مقایسه SSPEI و SPEI نیز انطباق بسیار بالای دو شاخص را در تمامی مقیاس‌های زمانی نشان داد؛ به‌طوری‌که مقادیر همبستگی و ضریب تعیین عمدتاً در محدوده 0/97 تا 0/99 قرار داشتند و مقادیر شاخص‌های کارایی، ریشه میانگین مربعات خطا، اریبی و شیب خط نیز تطابق نزدیک دو شاخص را تأیید کردند. با وجود این شباهت، در شرایطی که برازش توزیع‌های آماری مورد استفاده در SPI و SPEI با محدودیت مواجه می‌شود، شاخص‌های اصلاح‌ شده SSPI و SSPEI با استفاده از تابع تبدیل باکس-کاکس امکان محاسبه شاخص را بدون نیاز به یک توزیع احتمال مشخص فراهم کردند.
نتیجه‌گیری: یافته‌های این پژوهش نشان داد که شاخص‌های اصلاح‌ شده SSPI و SSPEI در بخش عمده‌ای از کشور عراق الگوی مشابهی با شاخص‌های SPI و SPEI دارند و میزان این انطباق در مقیاس‌های زمانی بلندتر بیشتر است. مزیت اصلی شاخص‌های اصلاح ‌شده نه در ایجاد تفاوت محسوس با شاخص‌های متداول در همه شرایط، بلکه در فراهم‌کردن روشی پایدارتر برای استانداردسازی سری‌های اقلیمی در شرایطی است که ساختار آماری داده‌ها، برازش توزیع‌های احتمال مورد استفاده در روش‌های متداول را با مشکل مواجه می‌کند. از این‌رو، SSPI و SSPEI می‌توانند به‌عنوان روش‌های جایگزین و مکمل برای پایش خشکسالی در مناطق خشک و نیمه‌خشک که در آن چولگی شدید داده‌ها به دلیل وجود مقادیر فراوان صفر برازش توزیع‌های آماری به داده‌ها را با مشکل روبه‌رو می‌کند، مورد استفاده قرار گیرند.
